Before lip or tongue tie release how many bodywork sessions are recommended?

Before lip or tongue tie release, how many bodywork sessions do you recommend?

This answer depends on several variables. How tight is the baby? How is feeding going? Who is the release provider (pediatric dentist or ENT)? Has mom seen a lactation or feeding therapist? Are all of their primitive reflexes active?

When we do a newborn or infant chiropractic assessment, we are factoring in all of these variables. We typically find it is 3-4 sessions before the release and then a few after for optimal results (sometimes it is less!).

Thankfully, our clinic here at The Chiropractic Place for Mommy and Me in Aledo, Texas works closely with the majority of the preferred pediatric dentists in North Texas and can help with the coordination of timing.
